To ensure that the necessary ingredients are available in the right quantities at specific sites at all times, a large number of administrative and organizational processes are required for the procurement of goods.
The solution
To handle these processes efficiently, the company has successfully been using Electronic Data Interchange (EDI) for the procurement of goods for the past few years. To that effect, the company exchanges electronic article master data (PRICAT), orders (ORDERS) and despatch advices (DESADV) with numerous business partners.
